Ferguson, MO. City Of Hate

You know I have been putting off writing about this Ferguson story for a while now, mainly because I wanted to get the full information from both sides to make an intelligent and informative comment. I want my readers, like in every post that I write, to have all the information in front of them so that after reading they can come to their own conclusions and opinions on any subject or event happening in our world today. This mess in Ferguson is really unnecessary and it's getting out of hand. What is sad is that it has been fueled by hate, and stirred up by people who should know better. For those of you that do not know of what I am referring to, allow me to explain with the stories and facts that have been allow to us so far. On August 9, 2014, in Ferguson, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. Michael Brown, an 18-year-old black man, was fatally shot by Darren Wilson, a white police office. The incident began when Brown and Dorian Johnson were walking down the middle of the street when Wilson drove up and ordered them to move to the sidewalk. The police had been on the lookout for two men who had robbed a conveinence store, and Brown and Johnson fit the description.Wilson said he then parked his vehicle and called for assistance, then tried to leave his vehicle, only to be punched in the face by Brown through his open window. Wilson said he had no choice but to draw his weapon because Brown was "incredibly strong", and testified that he was unable to use pepper spray due to the close quarters and his baton because it was out of reach.According to Wilson, Brown grabbed Wilson's pistol while punching him repeatedly in the face. Wilson said he could feel Brown pushing the weapon back towards Wilson's own body, and that it was at one point pointed back at the officer's own hip. Wilson pulled back inside the vehicle and then attempted to shoot Brown, failing the first time because Brown's finger was jammed in the hammer of the gun. According to Wilson, the gun fired on the second attempt, resulting in a wound to Brown's hand, as well as scattering fragments of glass inside the vehicle. A second gunshot failed to hit Brown before Brown fled. Wilson said that during the struggle, his transponder had been knocked off-setting, and he decided to give chase. After leaving his vehicle, Wilson said that Brown turned back towards him, then proceeded to charge at him despite Wilson yelling at him to stop. Wilson said he fired several more times, hitting four times, including a final, fatal shot to the forehead, which brought Brown down. Dorian Johnson, a friend of Brown, was walking with him in the street. Johnson said that Wilson pulled up beside them and said, "Get the f**k on the sidewalk." Johnson stated that Wilson drove forward without saying anything further, only to abruptly back up, positioning his vehicle crosswise in their path, almost hitting the two men. He said, "We were so close, almost inches away, that when he tried to open his door aggressively, the door ricocheted both off me and Big Mike's body and closed back on the officer."Johnson said Wilson, still in his vehicle, grabbed Brown around his neck through the open window. Brown tried to pull away, but Wilson continued to pull Brown toward him "like tug of war", according to Johnson. Johnson said that Brown "did not reach for the officer's weapon at all", insisting that Brown was attempting to get free of Wilson rather than attempting to attack him or take his weapon from him. Johnson said Wilson drew his weapon, and he said, "I'll shoot you" or "I'm going to shoot", and almost instantaneously fired his weapon, hitting Brown.Following the initial gunshot, Johnson said Brown was able to free himself, at which point the two fled. According to Johnson, Wilson exited the vehicle, after which he fired several rounds at the fleeing Brown. According to Johnson, Brown turned around with his hands in the air, after reacting "as if he was hit" and said, "I don't have a gun. Stop shooting!" Wilson then shot Brown several more times, killing him. There are various witnesses with different versions from their own perspective of the incident, and both support each story of what happened. The shooting is under investigation by a county grand jury, which will decide whether there is probable cause to indict Wilson for his actions. The FBI is investigating whether Wilson violated Brown's civil rights. It has stirred civil unrest in the city, with protests, riots, and another shooting of a black teen by a white officer in St. Louis. To make matters worse Al Sharpton has to immediately pull the race card and call for the head of Darren Wilson. This has only made matters worse. In one protest, there were people burning the American flag! This goes to show you the intelligence level of this area and others like it. Why are we still playing the race card and teaching our children to disrespect authority and to hate? It's like 1954 instead of 2014. If I know that I am innocent of a crime, and a police officer wants to question me about it under suspicion and profiling, I'm going to co-operate with him. It's called respect for authority. I'm definately not going to try to take his gun or try to beat his face in. Incidently, Wilson"s orbital socit was fractured during the struggle in the SUV. Autopsy has shown that Brown was shot in the front six times and four of those shots were at close range in the arm and hand. Hmm. Sounds to me like the officer didn't like getting his face beat in too much, and what posseses someone to assault an officer knowing that they are armed? We should not be jumping to conclusions about this. We need to let the facts be represented in court. People of Ferguson, stop your hate and your ignorance! Stop looting stop race baiting, and let's keep it real ok? There is black on black, and white on white crime every day, and no one bats an eye to that. we should be better than this. And as far as burning the American flag goes, if you hate this country that much you need to get the hell out! I'll help you pack your bags!

Ebola Outbreak; Conspiracy Or Just Plain Stupidity?

With the death of Thomas Eric Duncan, news of a second possible case of Ebola in the Dallas area (that of Sgt. Michael Monning) and worries that dogs and other animals could transmit Ebola, fears of a deadly epidemic in the United States are bound to accelerate. The reality is that multiple deaths from Ebola are likely in America, but the psychological toll is already far outpacing the physical one. Adults admit to anxiety about whether the illness could strike many more people here, and co-workers have confided to me that they are terrified of Ebola. And what is being said is only the obvious part of the psychological virus (call it "Ebolophobia") that is spreading; I would venture that millions of people are already unconsciously spending mental energy to suppress their worries that the disease could infect them or those they love. Part of the preventive health strategy to help contain this psychological virus should be a reliable flow of information and bold policy from the Obama administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. But, already, their response lacks the necessary element of steady stewardship. And that’s because of President Obama’s continuing reticence to put America first. Here’s an example: A travel ban on countries like Liberia, where Ebola is epidemic, makes sense as a technique to keep the virus from accelerating here. It’s only human to want to protect ourselves and our families. We want to defend ourselves, so isn’t the fastest, easiest solution to put up a wall around the problem? Let me say this plainly, in order for President Obama to keep thinking of himself as the leader of the world — and not just the free world — it may be that our boundaries must remain porous, allowing illegal immigrants and, potentially, even diseases to flow through them. The correct stance against Ebola is a medical-military one that replicates fighting a war in which the enemy has already come ashore and attacked a city — in this case, Dallas. The borders should be sealed to travelers who have visited nations affected by Ebola in the last 30 days. The surgeon general and a special assistant surgeon general for Ebola defense should be dispensing daily information about public health initiatives and medical research initiatives being undertaken to contain and combat the illness. Though Ebola is a rare and often fatal virus that results in non-specific symptoms, and for which there is no definitive cure, this doesn't mean the end of the world is nigh, as long as we do something about it now! The toll of having a president who seems to see America as having no particular manifest destiny may be seen in the spread of ISIS abroad. And it could be seen, God forbid, in not mounting a sufficient immune defense here at home, to Ebola. Saying so, even at the risk of offending some or many, is the first step (here taken) to make it not so. The bottom line here is, we must have leaders that are truly making decisions based on the best interests of its people! If this deadly disease truly takes a turn for the worst, God help us all!

Homeland (false sense of) Security, And The White House Break-In

At about 7:19 p.m. on Sept. 19, according an officer who filed an affidavit in federal court, a man later identified as Omar Gonzalez was seen scaling the north fence of the White House. The officer who filed the court statement was among those who shouted at the man to stop. He did not -- and ran across the lawn toward the White House.“Moments later,” according to the court document, the intruder went through the north doors of the White House and entered the building. He entered through an unlocked door. At that point, Secret Service Director Julia Pierson confirmed in testimony on Tuesday, the intruder “knocked back” a Secret Service officer posted near the door. Pierson said Gonzalez and the same officer then crossed the East Entrance Hall together, made a left turn down another hall and “stepped momentarily into the East Room.” As the suspect got deeper into the White House, sources said there was a struggle and a lot of “wrestling.” According to Pierson, another officer showed up and got Gonzalez on the ground, “on the carpet and handcuffed.” Gonzalez was apprehended in the hall, just outside the nearby Green Room. House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman revealed Tuesday that, in the course of this breach, at least five rings of security were breached. Holy Shit people! How can DHS say that they are succeeding in protecting it's citizens, when they can't even keep somebody from breaking in to the White House! Then of course there was the shooting at the windows of the family quarters back in 2011. In the latest humiliation for the Secret Service, an unauthorized armed man was allowed to ride an elevator with President Obama during a tour of CDC headquarters in Atlanta. The truth is folks, we are only truly safe from harm if we are 100% prepared ALL the time. Now does that mean that we should all live in constant fear every second of our lives? No. But we DO need to wake up and realize that the world has changed for the worse since 9/11. Every American citizen should be educated in today's world events, and personally trained to protect themselves when harm does come their way. That is a great start. But relying on our government do-do birds to do all the protecting, is a serious mistake on our part. We need to quit hiding under this false sense of security blanket that our "big brother" in Washington has so generously provided, and get informed, and get prepared because I have a feeling that this is just the beginning of worse things to come. Read the current world events and follow the signs, and we will know this to be true. Or, you can dismiss me as a crack pot, and continue playing your video games till 4 AM and chatting it up on Facebook.(which by the way IS monitored by the government) Thanks, have a great day!

Race Car Driving and Road Rage=You Better Check Yourself, Before You Wreck Yourself

Kevin Ward Jr. was sent into the wall when his car was bumped by Stewart's in a dirt-track race last month in Canandaigua. Ward got out of the car and walked onto the track, where he was hit by Stewart. The three-time NASCAR champ will not faces charges, prosecutors said last week in disclosing for the first time that Ward had enough marijuana in his system the night he died to impair his judgement. The incident began when both drivers charged in to Turn 2, and Ward’s vehicle hit the wall, cut a tire, and spun out. The caution flag came out, as it does after a wreck, and the rest of the field slowed down to allow Ward time and space to get his wounded car off the track. But instead of firing it back up, Ward exited the vehicle. He appeared to be looking to confront Stewart, who he likely blamed for the wreck. A couple of cars whizzed by the clearly incensed driver, but Stewart’s car hit Ward, sending the 20-year-old to his tragic death. Now I am not going to pretend to be an expert on racing, because I am definitely not. But I do know that it has to be one of the most stressful, dangerous sports out there. I also know enough not to go to work under the influence of drugs or alcohol. And I definitely know better than to walk into traffic on a high-speed freeway. So while the family members of Kevin curse Tony for killing their son, I have one question for them. Would you walk in front of somebody shooting a gun? These drivers are crazy, and they let emotions run way to high when they believe they've been provoked. This was obviously a tragedy for the sport of racing, but it was an accident. And had that kid been sober for the race, he probably would still be alive.

Scottish Independence ( Neo-eisimeileachd Na h- Alba)

A referendum on whether Scotland should be an independent country will take place on Thursday, 18 September 2014. After 300 years of being part of the United Kingdom, the Scotts will vote on their independence. Scotland a free country once again, William Wallace would be proud. Some opinions are saying that this is coming 300 years too late, and that culturally Scotland and the U.K. are one in the same. They say that a break-up could lead also to an economic collapse for Scotland. Yet following an agreement between the Scottish and the United Kingdom governments, the Scottish independence Referendum Bill, setting out the arrangements for this referendum, was put forward on 21 March 2013, passed by the Scottish Parliament on 14 November 2013 and received Royal Assent on 17 December 2013. The referendum question, as recommended by the Electoral Commission, will be "Should Scotland be an independent country?" Scotland, as it is known today, was formed by territorial evolution during the Middle Ages. The Kingdom of Scotland fought a series of wars of independence against the Kingdom of England during the 14th century. The two monarchies were in personal union from 1603 (the Union of the Crowns) when James VI of Scotland also became James I of England. The two nations were united under one government when Oliver Cromwell was declared Lord Protector of a Commonwealth in 1653, but it was dissolved when the monarchy was restored in 1660. The Kingdoms of Scotland and England united to form the Kingdom of Great Britain in 1707. Great Britain in turn united with the Kingdom of Ireland in 1801 to form the United Kingdom. Most of Ireland left the Union in 1922, later forming the Republic of Ireland; thus the full name of the sovereign state today is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Unlike Ireland, which rebelled in the Easter Rising and fought a War of Independence, Scotland did not resist central rule. There was, however, a persistent demand for Scottish home rule. The question of full independence, or the less controversial home rule, did not re-enter the political mainstream until 1960, after the famous Wind of Change speech by UK Prime Minister Harold Macmillan. Since then there have been mixed feelings on how to become dissolved from the Union. Past referendums failed in 1979 and then again in 1997. Scottish independence is supported most prominently by the Scottish National Party, but other parties also support independence. Those who have had elected representatives in either the Scottish Parliament or local councils in recent years are the Scottish Green Party, the Scottish Socialist Party and Solidarity. The official reasons for independence are: Democracy and national self-determination. Scotland's population will possess full decision-making power in regard to the political affairs of its nation. Also, they want the U.K. nukes out of Scotland, and to have 100% control over natural resources and the North Sea oil.(According to the Scottish Government, 64% of the EU's oil reserves exist in Scottish waters, while the David Hume Institute stated: "Scotland is sitting on oil and gas reserves worth up to £4 trillion".) Popular reasons are they just want to be a free and independent country. To me, that reason enough. But is it really too late? The three largest British political parties (the Conservative Party, Labour Party and Liberal Democrats) oppose Scottish independence. The Orange Order, a Protestant brotherhood with thousands of members in Scotland, is campaigning against Scottish independence, and has formed a campaign group called British Together. There are strong historical and contemporary ties between Scotland and the rest of the UK from the Reformation and Union of Crowns, to Scottish involvement in the growth and development of the British Empire and contribution of the Scottish Enlightenment and Industrial Revolution. I cannot tell you that Scotlands independence form the U.K. would be a good idea from an economic standpoint. I just do not have all the facts on that. ie: currency, do they make their own money or stick with the pound or the euro? But coming from a country whose independence was bought and paid for by the blood of his ancestors, I can tell you that no country should rule over another for power or for money. Every single soul in the world wants to be free. It is the best feeling in the world. If the people of Scotland vote yes on the referendum, then I say- It's about time!

THE WAR ON TERRORISM Part 2: Time To Grow Some!

Tuesday, news broke that the Islamic State had released a “Second Message to America” in the form of an Internet video in which it claimed it had brutally murdered another American journalist, Steven Sotloff. It is almost impossible to put into words the horror of it. The question now is, when is the free world going to realize that we need to wipe these Islamo-facists off the planet. It's time to pick a side. Most tellingly, Fox News' James Rosen asked State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki the question Tuesday that many of us have had on our minds: “A lot of Americans are sitting at home and they see Americans who are not even combatants, but who are journalists, being beheaded by this group overseas. From a common sense point of view, the average American will say to himself, ‘This group is at war with us. Why does our president or our secretary of state not recognize that and say, 'Indeed, we are at war with this group and we will destroy them?’” King Barry had first stated that the U.S. would "degrade and destroy the terrorist group ISIL. Then in a later statement completely did a 180 and said that we need to make this a manageable problem. What the f**k? He has yet to come to terms with the reality that some ideologies, including religious ones, are evil. In the president’s words, “So ISIL speaks for no religion. Their victims are overwhelmingly Muslim, and no faith teaches people to massacre innocents.” Really? Has he read the quran? Several scriptural passages in the Quran mention decapitation of those captured in battle or as a punishment for alleged crimes. Historically, beheading has been widely employed by Islamic nations, including the Ottoman Empire which used the penalty to great effect throughout the centuries. " I will throw fear into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Then smite the necks and smite of them each finger." (quran 8:12) Islamic apologists will argue that the act of beheading does not have sanction in the quran, and that the killing of "infidels" has no place in modern Islam. However, there is no question that today's terrorists would differ with these apologists and as far as the world is concerned, the knife is just the way to send the most prominent infidels to their doom. This tip-toe around these religious nut bars has got to end. We need the free world on our side with this. This group and others like them MUST be destroyed! The president said the Islamic State will “ultimately fail because the future is won by those who build and not destroy, and the world is shaped by people like James Foley.” No. The future is won by those whose wills are matched by their capacities to realize them. The president better dig down and find the will to respond, get a sound strategy, and spell out those decisions with the courage of his convictions to the American people-- who stand ready to listen.

The King Barry Open,( Another Day In The Life Of Our Putt-Putt President)

Sometimes a round of golf is just a round of golf. And sometimes it reveals the essence of a man. President Obama’s decision to hit the links and yuk it up with pals immediately after speaking about the beheading of James Foley was no ordinary mistake. Nor was it a simple gaffe. The decision continues to cause an uproar because, like an X-ray, there is no escaping the image. It shows there is no there there. With even his media praetorian guard appalled, the golf outing is sparking a wider understanding that Obama is hollow, empty of the routine qualities Americans expect from their president. Simple decency and respect for Foley’s horrified parents should have been enough to sober him. If that didn’t do it, the realization that the Islamic State had declared war on America in the most gruesome fashion imaginable should have sounded a call of duty in his head. Instead, Obama continued with his vacation and was photographed looking as if he didn’t have a care in the world. Suddenly, that megawatt smile that often charmed voters wasn’t so charming. It was vacuous. He looked like an empty-headed frat boy, numb to the world. Maybe that’s not just an appearance. Maybe it’s the truth. Maybe that’s all there is. It is a bitter idea to consider. To say he is a failed president, even unfit, but the reality is...it's the truth! Bill Clinton told Americans, “I feel your pain.” What if Obama doesn’t give a whit what Americans feel? As commander in chief, Obama swore to defend the nation. Yet the rise of the demonic cult calling itself Islamic State has barely stirred him. The group he once ridiculed as being like the al Qaeda junior varsity has achieved what Osama bin Laden never did: It controls a huge swath of territory in Syria and Iraq. It is so bloodthirsty that some jihadist groups shun its brand of barbarism as too indiscriminate. Most important, it makes threats against America, saying, “We will drown all of you in blood.” It vows to raise its black flag over the White House and threatened Chicago and other cities. All of this, especially the beheading of Foley and the threat to kill another American journalist it holds, are aimed at stopping even modest US support for the Iraqi army. Yet the president, after giving a perfunctory speech about the horror of it all, shrugged his shoulders. Later, his attorney general said a criminal investigation had been opened, as if the beheading was just a crime. It is hard to fathom what Obama is doing or thinking. No explanation comes close to being satisfactory. With fellow Democrats faulting him, and with threats to America multiplying, it is impossible to excuse his conduct on the grounds of ignorance. If he only knows what the public sees, that would be more than enough to develop a strategy. Indeed, it’s possible his military advisers are going public with terrifying claims about the terrorist group because they, too, are alarmed by his passivity. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, normally low-key, said of the Islamic State: “This is beyond anything that we’ve seen. So we must prepare for everything.” Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, called it “an organization that has an apocalyptic, end-of-days strategic vision that will eventually have to be defeated.” His use of the word “defeated” was in contrast to Obama, who talked only of “containing” the Islamic State when he approved limited airstrikes. There was, of course, another response from the president last week. After the storm started over the golf outing, White House officials confirmed there had been a secret raid to free Foley and others in July, but it failed. The release of such classified information ignited a second round of fury, with not a few critics accusing the president of playing politics. Nonsense. He doesn’t care about politics. The raid was revealed to protect the only thing he does care about: himself.

My Take On the Conflict In Israel ( Braveheart of the Middle East)

Everyone has their own views and opinions in regards to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, specifically Israel and Palestine. Most people that I talk to think that we should not be involved whatsoever, and that Israelis and Hamas (Palestinian Sunni Islamic organization, with an associated military wing.Since 2007, it has governed the Gaza Strip), should fight it out on their own. They believe that it is none of our business and that we should stop trying to be world police. Now while I agree that our government does, from time to time get involved when they shouldn't, this is one fight that we have to be in. Israel represents freedom in that region, and the bottom line and the truth of the matter regardless of what the left wing media tells you, they want to live in peace with the Palestinians. They believe that they have a right to be a country there, and unlike the Palestinians, they have no problem sharing the land. In fact Israel is a bi-lingual country with over 20% of the population being Muslim. That does not include the Gaza strip or the West Bank where there is a minority Jewish population. On 29 November 1947, the United Nations General Assembly recommended the adoption and implementation of the partition plan of Mandatory Palestine. On 14 May 1948, the Executive Head of the World Zionist Organization and president of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, declared "the establishment of a Jewish state in Eretz Israel, to be known as the State of Israel," a state independent upon the termination of the British Mandate for Palestine, 15 May 1948. Neighboring Arab armies invaded Palestine on the next day and fought the Israeli forces. Israel has since fought several wars with neighboring Arab states. The roots of the conflict can be traced to the late 19th century, with the rise of national movements, including Zionism and Arab nationalism. Though the Jewish aspiration to return to Zion had been part of Jewish religious thought for more than a millennium, the Jewish population of Europe and to some degree Middle East began to more actively discuss immigration back to the Land of Israel, and the re-establishment of the Jewish Nation, only during the 1859 to 1880s, largely as a solution to the widespread persecution of Jews due to antisemitism in Russia and Europe. As a result, the Zionist movement, the modern movement for the creation of a homeland for the Jewish people, was established as a political movement in 1897. Ever since then, Muslim factions have done everything they can to drive the Jews out. Fact is they would rather see their own people dead before they share the land. (which is evident with the way Hamas hides behind the Palestinian civilians). If we do nothing to help these two nations to live in peace, and the crazy raghead terrorist who want to kill all that do not live as they do, get a hold of the nukes that Israel currently hold...well then that's all folks! I believe that to stand with Israel is to stand for freedom!

Silence!..I Sue You!

You know, I am deeply disturbed about his whole Ventura vs. Kyle lawsuit that after two in a half years, finally came to a close the other day with the verdict going to Jesse. This is indeed a sad world that we live in when men disagree or think that they have been wronged instead of settling it like men, they sue for "Defamation of Character" WTF? If any of you have been following this then you are probably just as distraught as I. For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, allow me to enlighten you...By now you all know who Jesse Ventura is. Former Governor of Minnesota, former wrestler and also former Navy SEAL. He has also recently been host to the reality show "Conspiracy Theory With Jesse Ventura" and if your into conspiracy theories, it's a great show to watch. I myself am not too much into that, but I do not take anything for face value either. There's always another side to the story. Which brings me back to this lawsuit. Now Chris Kyle, also a former Navy SEAL and war hero of Iraq and Afghanistan, who was murdered last year by a troubled war vet, was on a talk show a couple of years ago and said that he had an altercation with Ventura at a wake for a SEAL brother back in 2006. He said he overheard Jesse talking about how he did not agree with the war in Afghanistan, and how the U.S. has turned into " baby killers" murdering innocent civilians. After hearing this, Kyle said he walked over to Ventura and tried to get him to just shut up and keep his political beleifs in check because at the moment they were saying good by to a brother, and it did not seem appropriate to everyone else around. ( Jesse was actually there to speak to a graduating BUD's class)To which Ventura replied " Sometimes SEALS deserve to die". Kyle stated that after that remark, he punched Jesse and left the building before the police could arrive. Jesse Ventura denies this ever took place, and basically called Chris a liar and thus began the lawsuit for defamation of character. I believe the whole thing never should have gotten this far. It doesnt matter if it was true or not, Jesse should have settled this dispute like a real man. Instead he wound up continuing the suit even after Chris Kyle was murdered and filed it against his widow. He won the verdict and was compensated 1.8 million dollars. In my book, Jesse Ventura is a coward and has defamed himself by his own actions. Yes it is a sorry world that we live in when you can sue a dead war hero over a fight story. Money, that was what this truly was about wasn't it Jesse.

All Hail King Barry

I am really having a difficult time understanding the thought process behind the Obama Administration. I just can't make sense of the decision making of the last 3 months in reference to Bergdahl, Tahmoorisey, and the current border crisis. Sometimes I think that he (Obama)is deliberatly trying to destroy America as we know it, and rebuild a new empire. He's like a Senator Palpaltine(Star Wars). I am not trying to make light of the situation, I'm just giving my opinion. I think this guy really wants to rebuild America into his own version of what it should be, and a lot of people(including myself) are getting pretty fed up with it. I just don't understand why we are letting a U.S.Marine rot in a Mexican prison, but an accused deserter gets to be traded for 5 murderers and go back to his post. Or that we are allowing criminals to enter the country, while we already have over 600,000 homeless American citizens many of who are veterans that are denied food and shelter, also turned away by employers. As the White House praised the return of soldier Bowe Bergdahl from the Taliban, some Afghan war veterans answered with anger over how the young soldier fell into enemy hands in the first place and the price the U.S. has paid to get him back. Rarely had the circumstances of Bergdahl's vanishing in June 2009 been publicly discussed during his captivity, apparently for fear of jeopardizing his safety while in Taliban control, but years of simmering anger by some vets may finally be bursting into the open now that he’s safely heading back stateside – and now that the Taliban has celebrated the return of five middle- to senior-level figures that had been held for years in Guantanamo Bay. Nathan Bethea, a former soldier who says he served in Bergdahl’s unit, recently wrote that he and his colleagues had been forced to stay quiet about the truth of Bergdahl’s case. "And that the truth is: Bergdahl was a deserter, and soldiers from his own unit died trying to track him down," Bethea wrote in The Daily Beast Monday. “Bergdahl was relieved from guard duty, and instead of going to sleep, he fled the outpost on foot. He deserted. I’ve talked to members of Bergdahl’s platoon—including the last Americans to see him before his capture. I’ve reviewed the relevant documents. That’s what happened.” Meanwhile in Mexico, Marine war hero Sgt Tahmoorisey is arrested for crossing the border with REGISTERED guns that were in his trunk. He was not allowed to turn around and still sits in a Mexican prison awaiting trial. he made a mistake, plain and simple. Our government will not lift a finger to help him. Why?

Gun Violence In The Workplace and the Fable That is The 2nd Amendment

You know I hear gun control advocates, explain that the reason for their crusade to ban certain weapons and add more gun laws, is that we need to protect the innocent by getting the guns out of the hands of the "bad guys". They stress that especially it is our children that suffer from gun violence, and that new laws need to be established. This recent tragedy at Ft. Hood, has confirmed my belief that it is more of a mental health problem than a gun problem. You mean to tell me that even on a military base no one is allowed to carry a weapon except for Military Police and Security? I am not saying that this horrible event could have been avoided, but it certainly would have been less bloody had the soldier victims been armed. Army Specialist Ivan Lopez was armed with a .45 caliber when he opened fire on his fellow soldiers, killing 3 including himself and seriously injuring 16 more. All of the victims were not armed. Let me state that again, ALL of the victims who fight to protect our freedoms from enemies foreign and DOMESTIC were NOT armed!!! These are soldiers who are trained in boot camp how to use and respect a weapon, and they can't carry one to protect themselves on a Military Base. I just cannot wrap my head around this. It is so sad and unfair. Lopez, who was in Iraq in 2011 as a truck driver and never saw any combat, obviously had some mental problems before he ever joined the Army. Look this is a crazy world that we live in, but it's always been a crazy world! Dis-arming law abiding citizens is not going to reduce gun violence and crime. The bad guys are gonna get the guns, and they're not going to be afraid to use them. Especially if they know that the good guys aren't carrying. Now when I say stuff like that in front of liberals, they think I want it to be like the "Wild West". That is nonsense, we all need to be educated and responsible when it comes to self- defense of any kind. Saying that we don't need guns because we have police, is like saying we don't need a fire extinguisher because we have the fire department. The 2nd Amendment is a right, and just like the other Amendments, it is non-negotiable! It is the most important right of all, because it us from a tyrannical government. You know, like the one we are living in now! I would like to conclude with sending my deepest sympathies to the victims families, and a heart felt prayer to the brave soldiers that were so unfairly taken away from us. God bless you and hold you safe in the palm of his hand.

Immigration Reform and the Cultural Identity Crisis of America ( Have A Coke and a Smile)

It has been a while since my last post,so I thought I'd wait for a real doozie! One that will more than likely label me as a racist, but I really could care less. I have my opinion, you have yours, and I hope that we can respect one another without any name calling or judging. See that is the beauty of the 1st Amendment. So i will try to look beyond this socialistic realm of political correctness for just a while,( if you would be so kind to bear with me please) and if you are one of those Americans who are easily offended, then I would strongly suggest that you stop reading now. May I suggest that you go hug a tree while you sing Kumbaya or something like that.(Just kidding;) So, did anyone see the Coke commercial during the Super Bowl on Sunday? It got me to thinking what are identity in this country really is, and to be honest, I think we're lost. Then again I could be reading to much into it, and it's all in my head I don't know. What I do know is that it is certainly not the same country I grew up in. As Bob Dylan so poetically wrote "Oh the times they are a changin'". Ya, no shit Bobby- you said it. Your not in Kansas anymore Dorothy! Maybe if we all click our heels three times and say " There's no place like the U.S." it will all be just a dream. Na, that's a fools thought. But I digress. My post today is not about wishful thinking. Time to get to the bear facts! I think that anyone out there who is or has worked, and pays they're taxes, OBEYS THE LAWS, and tries to be just a good person, can agree with me that...we have a serious immigration problem in this country! If we (and I mean our elected officials) don't do something about it now, then we are on the path to something far worse than a recession. This is affecting our children, our seniors, our Health Insurance premiums, our Social Security debt, and it is systematically unraveling the very fabric of our language and our culture. To quote the great Michael Savage, " I truly believe that in order to have a true Sovereign Nation You must first develop a national language, culture and protect your borders." I believe he is right and I see all of this slipping away very quickly. Now I know what your going to say, "Donnie this country was built on multicultural immigration, I myself come from Irish roots. (a very hard working dedicated patriotic people I might add!) Of course this country was founded by immigrants. When they came however, there was no food stamps, or social security check, or welfare state! Whatever they got, however they survived, they did it with backbreaking sweat and their own two hands. Their goal was to not die! To be somebody better than what they came from. with no help whatsoever from the government! Neighbors helped one another. Communities got together. True Christian charity was all they had. And guess what, they did it! They, the farmers, the builders, the blacksmiths, the teachers, the entrepreneurs they made this country what it is today. Now before I get any farther into this rant of mine, let me indulge you with a brief history of our immigration policies of the past so that maybe we can learn from their successes and mistakes. The Page Act of 1875 was the first restrictive federal immigration law and prohibited the entry of immigrants considered "undesirable." The law classified as "undesirable" any individual from Asia who was coming to America to be a forced laborer, any Asian woman who would engage in prostitution, and all people considered to be convicts in their own country. The law was named after its sponsor, Representative Horace F. Page, a Republican who introduced it to "end the danger of cheap Chinese labor and immoral Chinese women". The Page Act was supposed to strengthen the ban against “coolie” laborers, by imposing a fine of up to $2,000 and maximum jail sentence of one year upon anyone who tried to bring a person from China, Japan, or any Asian country to the United States “without their free and voluntary consent, for the purpose of holding them to a term of service”. In other words, we had a problem with outsourced slave labor right after we had just freed our own slaves. We did not want that to happen again. Most of the Asian immigrants at that time were brought here against their will. Then we had the war on anarchism in this country with the Immigration Act of 1903 and 1918, basically stating that lawlessness would not be tolerated. Of course some would suggest that this was an attack on personal freedom. The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952, put restrictions on the number of immigrants allowed in the country and also put them on the path to legalized citizenship, whereas before there were no such restrictions. The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 was a preference system that focused on immigrants' skills and family relationships with citizens or U.S. residents. It started the work visa system. Through all of our countries trials since the our birth as a free nation, we have boasted to the world that we welcome all who are oppressed with open arms and the promise of a new life. The thankful people that have set foot on these shores, vowed their life, liberty and the pursuit of their happiness for them and future generations so that all may have the opportunity to prosper. Even though we all stared from different backgrounds, we as a nation, developed our own collective culture. America is synonymous with the hamburger, the hot dog, and lager beer! All of which were given to us from our German immigrants. Pizza and mac n cheese from our Italian brothers. Football (Rugby) Baseball (Cricket) American pastimes. Henry Ford was the son of an Irish immigrant. Lets not forget the ones who died building our railroads, bridges, and our skyscrapers. Especially the men and women immigrants who have given their lives for our freedom! Yes America truly is a melting pot but we have grown into something far more than that. We have our own work ethic (or used to anyway) we have an idea that you can be anything that you truly want to be, if you set your mind to it! Lets not loose that people! Lets not loose who we truly are, One nation under God with liberty and justice for all!
